Liverpool are the latest side to be linked with a summer move for Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla.
The Albania centre-back has emerged as one of the finest young players in Serie A this season, having only made his senior debut at the start of the campaign.
And, according to reports in Italy, there are understood to be a number of big European clubs tracking his progress.
Serie A trio Atalanta, Inter Milan and Napoli are all also believed to be in the hunt for the 20-year-old as well as Bundesliga outfit Red Bull Leipzig and Everton.
Leipzig are understood to have tabled a January offer of around £13m for Kumbulla; the Peschiera del Garda-born defender though stayed put.
Now TuttoNapoli say Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund are tracking the player, whom Man City and Man Utd have been following ‘for months’.
The price tag for the player though is going up by the day with the source claiming Kumbulla is now valued at around €30m.
Kumbulla, who has played 18 times in his breakthrough season, is under contract until 2022, but Verona are believed to be ready to cash in on the player they have brought through the ranks at the club.
Verona has been integral to the Serie A side’s march into sixth place in the table with a record of conceding just 24 goals in 23 games in their first season back in the top flight.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp could well be in the market for a centre-back in the summer with Dejan Lovren expected to leave after limited game time this season.
