Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly among the clubs watching unsettled Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic’s situation with intent.
Pulisic emerged as a vital player for former Blues boss Frank Lampard following the first coronavirus lockdown last season.
Indeed, the American scored four goals and notched four assists in the final nine games of the Premier League season.
But while he struggled for minutes earlier this campaign due to ongoing injury issues, he made six 90-minute stints in the seven games before the end of Lampard’s tenure.
Since Thomas Tuchel‘s arrival, though, he has only played 134 minutes in the top flight and has yet to earn another start in the competition.
As such, The Sun claims that Pulisic has made it clear that he will quit Chelsea unless his game time improves.
Chiefly, the America international wants more starts, with the FA Cup win over Barnsley his only one since Tuchel joined.
Pulisic is also willing to take a pay cut on his £150,000 per week wages, which could tempt his suitors.
He will not be short of interest should his exit warning become a reality in the next few months. The newspaper adds that Liverpool and United have a strong interest in the 22-year-old.
The Daily Mail, meanwhile, says that Bayern Munich also have an interest.
Liverpool added Diogo Jota’s firepower to their front line last September, but speculation continues to surround Mohamed Salah’s future.
What’s more, reports have claimed that Pulisic initially sat ahead of Salah in Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s list of targets in 2017.
United, meanwhile, have had a new star attacking signing on their radar for some time. The Red Devils wanted Jadon Sancho last summer, but his £108million fee put them off.
However, they could be forced into the transfer market this summer; Edinson Cavani’s father has claimed that the striker could leave Old Trafford.
Pulisic signed for Chelsea in January 2019 from Borussia Dortmund, but spent a further six months on loan in Germany before moving to England.
Man Utd to watch Milan star
Meanwhile, United will reportedly use Thursday’s tie with AC Milan to watch goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The Italian has formed part of the bedrock of the Serie A club and has been a long-term regular despite still only being 22.
However, uncertainty has emerged over his contract and United are reportedly keen.
