The 28-year-old will be unavailable for that Premier League clash, but Jurgen Klopp will have options at his disposal. Indeed, Diogo Jota could step in alongside Roberto Firmino and Mane up front.

Egypt are yet to play during November’s international break. They host Togo in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday. On Tuesday, meanwhile, they travel to Togo in the same competition.

Salah did not take part in October’s international break, but reclaimed his spot this month.

Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has a calf issue, while midfielders Thiago and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also absent.
