Reported Liverpool and Juventus target Leon Goretzka has selected his preferred destination, according to the German media.

According to SportBild, the two clubs have been dealt a blow however, as Goretzka has met with members of Barcelona to discuss a future transfer.

Various reports have suggested that the German international has agreed a switch to the Premier League, while others have suggested that Juve are in pole.

However, this latest report suggests that the midfielder wants to join the Catalan club in January, which would activate a clause whereby he would receive 20% of the transfer fee.

Even Barca legend Xavi has recently voiced his support for the move: “He is a young player. Germany has always good footballers, and Goretzka is one of them.”

Should either of Liverpool or Juve wish to beat Barcelona to the 22-year-old, it appears that they’ll have to act quickly.
