Liverpool ready to listen to offers for Martin Skrtel – Report

Martin Skrtel: Linked with Liverpool exit
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly ready to sell long-serving defender Martin Skrtel this summer as he looks to revamp his defence at Anfield.
The German is ready to raid the transfer market for fresh faces ahead of his first full campaign in charge.
Liverpool are unlikely to make the top four this season – but Klopp will be expected to challenge next season.
He’s already agreed deals for midfielder Marco Grujic and defender Joel Matip, while the likes of Mario Gotze, Granit Xhaka and Marc-Andre ter Stegen have also been heavily linked.
And to finance the busy summer spending, Klopp is ready to wield the axe, with Mario Balotelli and Christian Benteke widely expected to be sold off.
But according to DiMarzio, Skrtel is also likely to be shown the door- with Schalke’s Matip replacing the Slovakian in the centre of defence.
Skrtel, 31, has been at Anfield since a £6million switch from Zenit St Petersburg in January 2008, and the player has made almost 400 appearances for the club during his eight years at Anfield.
The Slovakian signed a new three-year contract in July last year, and they’ll be no shortage of takers should Liverpool decide to move him on this summer.
