Liverpool ready to move for experienced star as Alisson back up
Liverpool are reportedly ready to make a move Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton as Alisson’s new back-up.
The 33-year-old, who is Burnley’s club captain, has just a year left on his current contract at Turf Moor and could be available for a cut-price fee.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is on the lookout for a new stopper to act as an understudy to Alisson, who was a revelation last season as Liverpool just missed out on the Premier League title but then claimed Champions League glory.
Clarets boss Sean Dyche has Nick Pope and Joe Hart already on his books and it seems almost certain that at least one will depart this summer.
Heaton has played 200 times for the Clarets, helping the club to promotion twice.

According to The Sun, Heaton was subject to a £7million bid from Aston Villa earlier in the summer, although it was rejected by the Clarets.
Liverpool’s interest in Heaton comes off the back of another error from Simon Mignolet, who let a shot through his grasp in the 2-2 friendly draw with Sporting Lisbon, and has been strongly linked with a move to Benfica.
