Liverpool set to make £15.4million bid for French midfielder
Liverpool are set to lodge a £15.4million bid for Rennes midfielder Benjamin Andre, according to reports in France.
The Reds have been linked with several midfielders this summer including RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita, however that deal looks unlikely to happen this summer.
And having sold Lucas Leiva to Lazio in this transfer window, Jurgen Klopp is on the lookout for midfield reinforcements with Andre apparently on his wishlist.
French newspaper Le Telegramme claims that Liverpool have thoroughly scouted Andre and are ready to submit a formal offer for the former France under-21 international.
The report continues by saying a source close to the Anfield club has told them that a bid will come soon as Klopp looks to give Emre Can some competition in the holding midfield role.
So far this summer, Klopp has reinforced his squad with the additions of Mohamed Salah from Roma, Andrew Robertson from Hull and Dominic Solanke from Chelsea.
