The future of Jadon Sancho is set to be one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer, and Liverpool have made their position regarding a move for the England superstar crystal clear.

The Borussia Dortmund forward’s development since his £8m switch from Manchester City nearly three years ago has been nothing short of sensational.

At just 20-years-of-age, Sancho has become a fearsome attacking threat in the Bundesliga and has established himself as a regular starter in Gareth Southgate’s England starting eleven.

Despite their position as one of Germany’s elite clubs, Dortmund have a history of selling their prized assets and Sancho is expected to be no different.

A host of the Premier League’s heavy hitters have registered interest, with Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool emerging as the likeliest contenders to snap up his signature.

Reports of which club the player himself would prefer to join due to his budding friendship with a star striker recently surfaced, though Reds boss Klopp was urged to snub Sancho and move for an £87.5m-rated La Liga winger instead.

Now, an article from online publication Football Insider has revealed the stance of Liverpool regarding their possible pursuit of the superstar.

The report notes that despite Klopp being a ‘huge admirer’ of the forward, Liverpool have ‘no intention of getting involved in a bidding war’ with their Premier League rivals.

The piece mentions that the huge sum required to prise Sancho from Dortmund ‘is not currently considered viable’ for Anfield chiefs to justify his acquisition.

This revelation will leave the door ajar for Man Utd to pounce, with his age and profile seeming to be a perfect fit for the Red Devils given their change of strategy to go younger and predominantly British in the transfer market.

One pundit, however, has cast major doubt over the possible switch.

Meanwhile, ex-Liverpool favourite Philippe Coutinho appears to be Chelsea-bound after the final hurdle before his move to Stamford Bridge can materialise was revealed.
