Trent Alexander-Arnold’s crossing of the ball is at a similar level to that of former Manchester United favourite David Beckham.
That’s the view of former Liverpool midfielder and pundit Danny Murphy who believes the Anfield youngster can only get better this season following an exceptional campaign last time around.
And having made 12 goals in the 2018/19 campaign, Alexander-Arnold already has one to his name after providing a brilliant cross for Divock Origi to find the net during Friday’s 4-1 victory over Norwich at Anfield.
And Murphy has heaped praise on the full-back, telling talkSPORT he could be the most talented right-backs to emerge in a generation.
“Trent has a display of passing and technical ability that we’ve not seen in a full-back for many, many years,” Murphy said.
“Trent, for me, is as good a crosser of the ball I’ve seen since David Beckham. His crossing is already as good as Beckham, definitely. His set plays and crossing are both phenomenal.
“His technical ability, his passing ability is very unusual for a full-back, normally it’s a midfielder who possess that type of quality.”
Alexander-Arnold will be looking to add to his tally of assists when Liverpool face Chelsea in Wednesday’s European Super Cup final – a match Jurgen Klopp is clearly fired up for.
