A star Liverpool forward is reportedly close to signing a contract extension worth over £30million to keep him at Anfield for the foreseeable future.

According to The Sun, England international Adam Lallana has agreed a new deal with Liverpool worth £150k per week.

The paper claims that Jurgen Klopp opened fresh talks with Lallana and is eager to tie him down to a four-year deal which will put him level with some of the top earners at the club.

The winger arrived at Anfield in a £25m deal from Southampton in 2014, and he has two years left on his current contract. His extension will see him stay on Merseyside until 2021.

Lallana was linked with a potential big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain, and it is believed that the extension will ward off potential suitors.

The 28-year-old has made 27 appearances in all competitions this season, amassing a combined 14 goals and assists and establishing himself as one of Klopp’s key men.
