Liverpool winger heading for Rangers with Gerrard

Sheyi Ojo is set to sign for Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool.

The 21-year-old has been pictured at Rangers’ training ground ahead of a proposed loan deal for the entire 2019/20 campaign.

The winger will become Steven Gerrard’s fifth signing of a busy summer at Ibrox. Steven Davis, Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie and Greg Stewart have all signed for Gerrard this summer

Ojo penned a new five-year deal at Liverpool before spending last season on loan at Stade Reims in France, but he struggled making just three league starts for the Ligue 1 outfit.

Ryan Kent spent last season on loan at Ibrox and Liverpool are understood to be impressed with his development and are looking to sell the wide man this summer and are hoping for more of the same for Ojo.

Ojo has made 13 appearances for Liverpool, but he has not featured for the first team since 2017, and is now preparing for the fifth loan of his career.
