Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo is expected to finalise a move to Stade Reims in the next 48 hours after giving the green light to join the Ligue 1 new boys.
Reims have reportedly emerged as the surprise frontrunners to secure a season-long loan deal for the winger.
The England U20 World Cup winner is a long way down Jurgen Klopp’s pecking order and had been linked with a number of Championship sides, including Leeds and Middlesbrough.
However, according to widepsread reports, Liverpool are in negotiations with Reims over allowing the 21-year-old to head to France for the rest of the campaign.
The report claims that Ojo is keen to finalise the switch, with Liverpool also likely to extend his contract before any departure.
Reims have made a strong start to the new Ligue 1 campaign, with the club sitting in sixth place in the table after three games.
Ojo, 21, who has come through the ranks at Anfield after joining from MK Dons at the age of 14, has made six starts for Liverpool and made 24 appearances on loan at Fulham last season as he helped the Cottagers win promotion.
And the player is unlikely to be the last departure from Anfield this month, with Klopp also looking to show three other stars the exit doors.
Lazar Markovic and Pedro Chirivella are likely to leave for Europe, with the former possibly having his contract cancelled should a loan not be agreed. Klopp is also ready to let Divock Origi move on, with a loan move now looking the more likely after a proposed £27million switch to Borussia Dortmund broke down.
