Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson is reportedly ready to offer Jack Wilshere an escape route from Arsenal this summer.
The 26-year-old is said to have been told that he will not be a guaranteed starter under new Gunners boss Unai Emery, once again sparking rumours that he could be on the move.
Several Premier League clubs have been linked with Wilshere, who was overlooked for England’s World Cup squad, with West Ham, Wolves, Everton and now Palace all keen on the playmaker.
The injury-plagued star is also a target for AC Milan, Sampdoria and Juventus, but the Daily Mirror claims that Eagles boss Hodgson is pushing to bring the player to Selhurst Park.
Wilshere has been offered a deal worth £110,000-a-week – plus a £65,000 win bonus at Arsenal – but is fully aware of the fact that he may be a fringe player rather than a starter.
The deal has been improved from the original offer and Arsenal were confident that Wilshere would stay – only for Emery to leave the player with a major dilemma.
Despite wanting to stay at The Emirates, the report now states that Wilshere is looking increasingly likely to leave – although at this stage it is not clear whether he will stay in England or head to Italy.
