‘Lucky’ Klavan labels Klopp’s coaching ‘perfect’
Liverpool new boy Ragnar Klavan has labelled Jurgen Klopp’s coaching methods “perfect”.
Klopp’s charges have won seven of their last eight matches to top the Premier League and centre-back Klavan cannot speak highly enough of the coaching staff at Melwood.
“I feel really lucky to be here every day playing for him and learning something new,” Klavan told the Sunday Mirror.
“Everybody at Liverpool is at the highest level and we are being coached by perfect coaching staff to play the way we want to play.
“Even if you are not going to be in the starting XI one week, you will still get the same coaching, the same ideas, and work on the same movements.
“The amount of games we have in a season, even without being in Europe this year, is a lot and at some points you play every two or three days here.
“So I think for the team it is really good to have a fluid system that means players can easily come in and out when the manager needs them to.”
Klavan moved to Anfield from Augsburg in the summer for £4.25million and he has made six appearances, scoring once in the EFL Cup, but he hasn’t started a game in the league since the 5-1 win over Hull in September.
Fellow new boy Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren have been Klopp’s first-choice defensive partnership, but Klavan, 31, says there is not much difference in quality between all the players.
“Dejan and Joel are both really good centre-halves and at this level there is not much difference when you analyse if one is better with another,” he added.
