Luiz: We’ll be ready for last 16
Zlatan Ibrahimovic put the French champions on course to top Group F with an early opening goal at the Nou Camp, but strikes from Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez carried Barcelona to a 3-1 victory, and they finished at the pool summit, earning a seeding for the last-16 stage.
“It’s the efficiency which has made the difference. Barcelona scored more goals than us and won the match. We’re now going to think about the next stage,” Luiz said, according to the official Paris St Germain website.
“A difficult last-16 match awaits us but to win the Champions League you have to beat everyone.
“At the moment the first-placed teams have done better than us but in February we will be capable of playing anybody.”
Ibrahimovic, Lucas Moura and Thiago Motta had chances to haul Barcelona back to 2-2 at one stage, but could not capitalise.
The visitors’ head coach Laurent Blanc said: “Barcelona weren’t any more dangerous. If we were better defensively there would have been the opportunity to achieve a positive result.
“We are disappointed because with a bit more rigour we would have been able to obtain a better result.”
