Luke Shaw felt Mourinho’s ire after Bournemouth draw – report

Luke Shaw: Suffers injury against Watford

Luke Shaw: Hasn't featured since Bournemouth draw

Luke Shaw’s latest exclusion from the Manchester United side has come about after a reported falling out with Jose Mourinho following the draw with Bournemouth.

United were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on March 4, with the match already best remembered for the clash that saw Tyrone Mings and Zlatan Ibrahimovic engaged in a notable battle and saw the pair eventually handed FA suspensions.

Mings was banned for five games for stamping on Ibrahimovic’s head, while the Swede was suspended for three after elbowing the defender in retaliation.

The competitive nature of the clash was a bone of contention for Mourinho, who watched his side drop more points in the race for the top four.

But according to The Sun, it was Shaw who was the subject of the United manager’s ire after the game.

Neil Ashton claims that the Portuguese ‘tore into’ the left-back for speaking to Bournemouth players.

That was Shaw’s first Premier League start for the club since October, and he has not made a single appearance in any competition since.
