Macken miss proves~costly for Tykes

Macken, who has yet to find the net this term, had the chance to give the Tykes a 12th-minute lead but his tame spot-kick was easily gathered by Norwich goalkeeper David Marshall.

It was a huge setback for the hosts and went some way to extending their barren run in front of goal to over 360 minutes of play.

The impressive Diego Leon and Jamal Campbell-Ryce had good opportunities for the Tykes while Norwich, who took their time to get a foothold in the match, had a few chances of their own mainly through Antoine Sibierski and Lee Croft.

The Canaries brought on Jamie Cureton after the break but it had little impact as the game petered to a draw in a result that does little to help either side.
