Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is targeting a summer move for a Crystal Palace winger, according to a report.

The Sun claims that Guardiola is looking for a forward who can play both out wide and down the middle as he aims to get further in Europe next season.

His search has brought him to Palace star Wilfried Zaha, the report states, and now City are weighing up a £50m summer move.

However, City are not alone in their pursuit, and will apparently have to battle Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea for the Ivory Coast international.

The report goes on to mention that Zaha has ‘no concerns’ about a possible return to Manchester despite a difficult spell at United.

The 25-year-old would also count as a “homegrown” player after coming through Palace’s academy.

Other options being considered by Guardiola include Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara and Shakhtar star Fred.
