Manchester City are considering buying back former midfielder Aaron Mooy from Huddersfield, a report claims.
According to ESPN FC, City are considering activating a £20m buy-back clause that was inserted into the deal which made Mooy a permanent Huddersfield player last summer.
Everton, West Ham United and Southampton all also reportedly interested in the Australia international, who has impressed at the World Cup.
Mooy did not miss a minute of the Socceroos’ World Cup campaign, though they did finish bottom of their group after a 2-0 defeat to Peru on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old did recently respond to rumours linking him with a move to another club this summer, insisting he is happy in West Yorkshire.
“I’m very happy at Huddersfield, it’s a great club for me and I’m proud to be a Huddersfield player,” Mooy said.
