Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred is keen on a move to the Premier League, and is rumoured to be wanted by a host of clubs – but would prefer a move to Man City.

The promising player told Globoesporte he is “eagerly awaiting” a phone call from City manager Pep Guardiola.

As reported in Euro Paper Talk earlier today, Manchester United and Arsenal have both joined the race for the £30m rated player, according to the Daily Star.

“For sure, I would grow a lot with him (Guardiola),” he said.

“I have a lot of room to grow.

“I have not received (his call) yet, I’m just eagerly waiting. He’ll call me soon!”

Fred was part of the Shakhtar team that defeated City in the Champions League earlier in the season – the only loss Guardiola’s side have endured all season.
