Man United misfit offered La Liga escape route

Anthony Martial Manchester United

Sevilla are interested in Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, according to reports in Spain.

The Andalusian club are looking for reinforcements for their attack, with PSG’s Julian Draxler and Torino’s Iago Falque seemingly top of the list.

Marca now reports that Martial is also being considered by the La Liga club, who finished 7th last season.

Martial has made no secret of his desire to leave Old Trafford after growing frustrated with Jose Mourinho’s treatment of him, but was denied the chance to transfer to a fellow Premier League club such as Tottenham Hotspur or Chelsea.

AC Milan had also been credited with interest, although they signed winger Samu Castillejo from Villarreal instead before the Italian transfer window closed last week.

Martial was an unused substitute in Manchester United’s Premier League opener against Leicester, and was brought off after starting against Brighton on Sunday.

Clubs in Spain have until the end of the month to bring in any new players.
