Man United set to make fresh offer for Inter Milan winger

Manchester United are keen to reach a quick conclusion to their negotiations with Inter Milan over a move for winger Ivan Perisic, according to reports.

It was recently reported that the Serie A side had turned down United’s latest offer of £39million for the Croatia international, with United hoping to tie up a deal.

Sky Sports News HQ claims that Inter are holding out for £48million but the Red Devils are inching closer to agreeing a fee with the Italian giants.

It is understood that an offer of £45million would seal the deal with United previously refusing to pay the asking price.

Perisic scored 11 goals and provided 12 assists during the 2016/17 season with Inter finishing seventh and 29 points off eventual winners Juventus.

New Inter boss Luciano Spalletti, who was due to hold talks with Perisic this week, is hopeful that the 28-year-old will remain at the San Siro.

“You keep talking about Perisic and his desire to leave but I need to listen to his own words first and then decide how to act.

“I hope to have him in the side, I am counting on it and I am positive in that sense.”
