Antoine Griezmann: Happy in Madrid

Antoine Griezmann has said a move to the Premier League does interest him, but is still not looking to leave current club Atletico Madrid.

The French international recently revealed that he felt he did not need to move on from the Spanish side in order to reach the next level, but has now stirred up the speculation once again after being asked about his future by French television.

“I cannot go to Real,” Griezmann told Telefoot. “There is a pact between the two clubs that prohibits a transfer. At Barca, there is no pact but their front three are indispensable.”

“PSG? It is an interesting possibility but Ligue 1 does not interest me for now. I would prefer to stay in La Liga or go to the Premier League but I do not have an objective to leave Atletico.”

Manchester United look more likely to land a new centre-back when the transfer window re-opens, with Benfica centre-back Victor Lindelof now said to be the number one priority for Jose Mourinho.
