Man Utd agree £80m defender deal with medical planned for Monday

Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal of around £80m with Leicester for England centre-back Harry Maguire.

The Foxes star is said to have informed the club that he was unhappy that they could potentially price him out of a summer move.

That has resulted in action from Brendan Rodgers’ men, who are now resigned to losing the 26-year-old – with The Sun claiming that an agreement between the two clubs has now been reached.

United are reported to have agreed to pay £60million up front for Maguire with a further £20m in add-ons.

He is expected to arrive in Manchester on Monday for a medical.

Maguire’s imminent arrival will end Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s search for a new centre-back, although doubts continue over the long-term futures of Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku at the club.
