Man Utd, Arsenal beaten as record-breaker mirrors Liverpool legend in confirmed move
Both Fabrizio Romano and a club president have confirmed a record-breaker wanted by Manchester United and Arsenal has signed elsewhere.
Amara Diouf recently set the record when becoming the youngest player to ever represent the senior national side of Senegal. At an incredible 15 years and 94 days old, the left winger made his senior debut during the 1-1 draw with Rwanda on September 9.
Diouf is on the books at Senegalese side Generation Foot and his rapid rise has not gone unnoticed.
Indeed, Football Espana reported Man Utd and Arsenal both tracked the player after initial scouting missions.
Elsewhere, Manchester City have also kept tabs on the youngster, while Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have monitored a player seemingly destined for big things.
However, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano as well as Generation Foot’s founder and president, Diouf’s next move will take him to France.
Diouf will reportedly join Ligue 1 side Metz who have a storied history with Senegalese players and Generation Foot in particular.
Former Watford winger Ismaila Sarr and current Tottenham midfielder Pape Sarr both joined Metz directly from Generation Foot in the past.
An even higher profile of the strong relationship working well regards Liverpool legend Sadio Mane who joined Generation Foot from Metz in 2011.

Mane would quickly go on to establish himself in the Metz first-team before earning a move to Red Bull Salzburg.
A two-year stint at Southampton followed before Mane joined Liverpool where he established himself as one of the club’s greatest ever forwards.
Metz will hope Diouf can make a similar impact in the future and per Romano, a deal between the French and Senegalese sides has been agreed.
Shedding further light on when the move will take place, Generation Foot president, Mady Toure, revealed Diouf will move when turning 18. As such, he’ll spend the next two-three years developing his game in Senegal.
“At 18, Amara will go to FC Metz,” said Toure (as quoted by the offical Ligue 1 website). “It is our partner club, which has helped launch the careers of many Senegalese people.”
