Manchester United have announced the signing of highly-rated teenager Hannibal Mejbri from Monaco.

Mejbri, who played for Paris FC and AC Boulogne-Billancourt at youth level, is regarded as one of the top young talents in French football and is currently contracted until 2021.

RMC and L’Equipe claimed ten days ago that Mejbri would be moving to Old Trafford after United made a €10m bid.

And now the Red Devils announced on their website that they have ‘reached an agreement with Monaco for Hannibal Mejbri to join the club subject to FIFA approval’.

Mejbri becomes United’s fourth signing of the summer after the close of the transfer window, reportedly beating off the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona and Manchester City for his services.

The Red Devils signed Daniel James from Swansea, Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace and Harry Maguire from Leicester City as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked to sign young, hungry British players.
