Manchester United scouts have been impressed by Julian Brandt and the midfielder is now believed to be a summer target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer has confirmed he will be doing plenty of transfer business this summer, with CaughtOffside claimed “attacking players will be their priority” and that Brandt is the latest name to seriously hit their radar.
United scouts have apparently been impressed with the 22-year-old Bayer Leverkusen winger and Solskjaer is happy that the Germany international will fit into his team.
Brandt is enjoying a stellar season in the Bundesliga after a switch in positions, engineered by Bayer coach Peter Bosz, and has scored seven goals and grabbed 14 assists.
Brandt won the Bundesliga player of the month award in February after a shift into a box-to-box midfielder and that form, according to Kicker, has alerted Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
“For me these links make me proud, but there is nothing more than that,” Brandt told Kicker, as cited by Diario AS.
Liverpool have been long since linked with Brandt after almost signing him in 2017 and just last month Kicker and Bild reported that Jurgen Klopp was back in for the player.
Last April the player signed a contract extension until 2021, however Kicker claim that deal included a summer 2019 exit clause of just £21.6million.
