Manchester United and Chelsea have been given the green light to launch summer bids for one £88m-rated star, a report claims.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has finally made the decision to sell Gareth Bale in the summer transfer window.

Bale has been constantly linked with a summer exit after a difficult spell at the Bernabeu, though Perez believes he can fetch €100m for the Wales international, the report claims.

Don Balon also states that Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane does not see Bale as part of the club’s future plans, which has alerted his Premier League suitors.

The same outlet recently suggested that Chelsea are keen on the 28-year-old, while another Don Balon piece claimed Manchester United would rival them.

Bale was recently asked about the possibility of joining Bayern Munich, something he refused to rule out.

“You can never rule out anything in football,” Bale told Bild.

“Currently, I play football at Real Madrid and I enjoy that.

“Bayern have a fantastic squad and already in the past they have always been one of the most successful clubs in Europe.

“It’s an honour for everyone to be linked with this club. But as of now I am a Real Madrid player.”
