Man Utd confident of sealing Bellingham deal after plan emerges

Jude Bellingham TEAMtalk

Manchester United are confident of winning the race to sign Birmingham starlet Jude Bellingham and reportedly have a plan in place to land his younger brother too.

United are prepared to offer Bellingham the promise of first-team football in order to win the race for the teenager, who could cost in excess of £30million.

The 16-year-old has already been given a guided tour of United’s Carrington training ground, and has been introduced to legendary former Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson, experiences which left him “blown away”.

The Bellingham family are reported to be analysing options at present, but a source has told 90min that United “believe the deal is effectively sealed”.

The player also has a proposal from Borussia Dortmund, but United have an ace up their sleeve with an offer for his younger brother Jobe, who has recently turned 15, a move too.

90Min report that United are prepared to offer Jobe, who has represented England at youth level and played for Birmingham’s Academy, a place in their Academy at Carrington.

It will be a huge coup for United if they can seal a deal for Bellingham, who has been one of the biggest success stories in the Championship this season having broken into the Birmingham first team at the age of just 16, going on to make 35 appearances in all competitions.

Regular gametime will be a key factor in Bellingham’s decision, given how much he has featured already for Birmingham – and it is claimed that United are ready to give him opportunities at Old Trafford, rather than loaning him back to St Andrew’s.

Bellingham may look at how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has integrated Daniel James into the first team fold after a similar move from the Championship to Old Trafford for the ex-Swansea winger.
