Man Utd convinced €100m star will become new midfield ace

Manchester United have reportedly become confident that they will sign one of their major midfield targets in the upcoming summer window.
The Red Devils have recently been linked with moves for Toni Kroos and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his midfield department.
Marouane Fellaini looks set to leave the club on a free, while Michael Carrick will retire and there is uncertainty over the future of Paul Pogba.
However, The Independent that Mourinho has switched his focus away from a move for Real Madrid star Kroos.
United were previously confident of their chances of bringing the former Bayern Munich man to Old Trafford due to Real’s pursuit of Neymar and their need to sell to fund it.
Los Blancos’ interest in Neymar is not expected to see Kroos leave though, so Milinkovic-Savic is now the primary target.
The Independent report claims Man Utd sources are convinced the Lazio star will be United’s midfield bulldozer next term.
Milinkovic-Savic has previously been tipped to fetch €100m should he be sold by the Roman side this summer.
Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Weigl remains an option, while Shakhtar Donetsk star and Man City target Fred is also still considered a target.
