Manchester United will attempt a summer overhaul of their squad with Jose Mourinho armed with £200m, according to a report.

The Sun claims that the Red Devils are looking to bolster their midfield and defence in the upcoming transfer window, and are content with their current attacking options.

In order to do that, they have shortlisted six names, including five defenders: Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose (both of Spurs), Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin, Juventus left-back Alex Sandro and young Celtic star Kieran Tierney.

In addition, Napoli midfielder Jorginho is described by The Sun as one of United’s ‘priorities’ this summer amid repeated links to the Premier League.

The report goes on the state that Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian are all heading for the exit door, while Phil Jones and Chris Smalling also have their futures in doubt.

It is not anticipated that United will be able to recruit all six players on their shortlist, but moves for players like Jorginho, Alderweireld and Rose make sense given the uncertain futures they face at their current clubs.
