Chelsea fans discuss Fabregas and his new Guiness World record
I’m not among his biggest fans. But well done to him. His technique on the ball was undisputed even by his biggest critics. But i always felt he was lazy when the team didn’t have the ball so in that scenario he was a liability. His workrate is also poor. His tackling is weak. May be he could play a midfield that has so many destroyers and where plays the creative force. These days you can not carry a passenger in the PL. Anyway well done to him. I’m happy for him as a Chelsea player.

Cesc is still a very useful squad player imo although I suspect this is his last season with us. If the rumours are true a move to Atletico would be good for him imo.

Blues fans discuss the potential departure of Hazard
Bruce Buck insists Chelsea will do everything they can to “entice” Eden Hazard to stay.
Hazard’s current deal expires in 2020 and Chelsea are ready to break the bank and offer him up to £300,000-a-week to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
Blues chairman Buck said: “Every Chelsea fan in London and around the world loves Eden Hazard, and he’s not only a great footballer but I think he’s a wonderful lad.”
“We want him to stay and we’ll do what we have to do to entice him to stay.”
Good to see the Club fighting hard to keep him.
If Hazard stays at Chelsea he can become an all time legend if he goes to Real he will be just another Galatico.

Chelsea are not stupid and know and appreciate exactly what Eden brings to Chelsea and how difficult it would be to replace him. Everything you read about or from Eden says he loves Chelsea, he is happily settled in London and that he is enjoying his football again this season. Chelsea know this and so quite rightly have been working for a while now to get him to sign an improved contract
IMO, if Conte had remained in charge then I believe that Eden would have already left along with Willian and Luiz so the board is fully aware of what they are doing. Any Club who has a player of Eden’s stature, and there are not that many, who is regularly discussed amongst the top 3 players in the world will always have a cloud hanging over them about a “bigger” club coming in and trying to buy him. That is why success on the pitch plus Eden enjoying his football is so important
I am still hopeful that so long as we get a CL spot for next season and are seen to continue to invest in the squad then Eden will stay at Chelsea.

the Express are running a story that states Hazard has seen the new contract – rumoured to be 300k a week – and is prepared to sign and stay at the Club. Not sure if there is any indication how long the contract will be for though
Obviously, no idea how accurate the story is but one that I do prefer to take notice off and prefer to believe than many others….!! KTBFFH

United fans discuss the future of Jose Mourinho and potential successors
There’s still plenty of speculation surrounding Jose’s future at the club. Realistically, who would we like to see get the job if Jose were to get the axe? Immaterial of if they’re available or not, if the club were to make the right appointment regardless of buy-out costs, who should it be? Obviously Klopp and Pep aren’t permitted because of who they currently manage, we simply couldn’t consider them.
I think Allegri would be a great shout, if rumours are to be believed we’re already sounding him out.
What about Nuno Espirito Santo of Wolves? Has had a solid managerial career, bit of a blip while at Porto, and plays good football.
Pochettino, I like him but I’m not convinced by him yet. It’s not about the fact he hasn’t won silverware while at Spurs it’s the fact they seem to bottle it at key moments in the season.

Allegri as well.

Fingers crossed that a football competent human is appointed to the board before any managerial changes take place. Ed has had 3 goes at this now with limited success. I’d quite like them to speak to several managers before making a decision. A proper interview process rather than a flavour of the month/who’s available appointment.

I suppose the question is do we want trophies or nice football? Jose has won us the Europa League and the League Cup. Got us to an FA Cup Final and 2nd in the league last year. Obviously a bad start to this season but it’s very easy to forget what he’s done in the past 2 years. It’s also very easy to think a new manager will come in and instantly improve us. I don’t think they would and I don’t think anyone high up at Manchester United thinks that either…

I think as Manchester United fans we are entitled to wish for both mate. Thing is there is no magic wand as Fergie learned when he came in, it took him several years to get the measure of the job.
Don’t think Mourinho is helping the situation though, he seems on self destruct mode to me. The whole club just seems muddled to me…maybe we’ll need a Saudi sword to come in and cut away all the shite.

Arsenal fans make their predictions ahead of Leicester clash
I think the international break will have had a detrimental effect on us. Still im going for a win 5-3 after going 3-1 down. Game of the season.
AndyC
i could live with that!
was wondering if the break would be detrimental or not, under AW it would most definatly be, but with this new wave of optimism i have i think it could actually be good!
