Manchester United have finally reached an agreement with Leicester for Harry Maguire, it is claimed.
Maguire has been United’s top target throughout the summer, but they had been struggling to meet Leicester’s high asking price.
According to The Telegraph, though, they have finally reached a breakthrough, agreeing an £85m deal with Leicester on Friday morning.
Maguire will become the most expensive defender in the world if the transfer does go through.
The England defender has been left out of Leicester’s squad for their pre-season friendly with Atalanta tonight.
Maguire was reportedly growing frustrated at Leicester’s tough stance – with Brendan Rodgers praising the way that the Foxes have handled the situation – but the 26-year-old could soon have the chance to realise his dream of playing for United.
