Manchester United are eyeing up two potential solutions to their full-back problems, according to reports.
It has been suggested in widespread reports that Jose Mourinho is eyeing a new left-back, with recent links to the £50m-rated Danny Rose.
However, United have now been linked with two further options, the first of which is Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam, with RMC Sport stating a £26m bid is being lined up by the Old Trafford hierarchy.
RAI Sport journalist Ciro Venerato believes that United have a ‘half agreement’ in place to sign Ghoulam.
AreaNapoli claim Venerato said:
“Is Ghoulam wanted by Manchester United? Yes, he’s a champion, and despite the injury, he remains a man on the transfer market. United keep thinking about him.
“Between October and November, there was already a half agreement with Jorge Mendes to bring Alex Grimaldo (from Benfica) in blue (to Napoli) and Ghoulam to Manchester, but everything still needs to be concluded.”
Meanwhile, the Red Devils have also been linked with a £25m move for Southampton star Ryan Bertrand.
The Saints have agreed to sell the England international regardless of whether they stay up or not, The Sun claims, and United have him as a back-up option should they fail to sign Rose. However, they face reported competition from Newcastle and Everton.
