Transfer expert gives Man Utd the news they wanted on Jadon Sancho

Manchester United have been told that they can expect to be ‘extremely active’ when the transfer window opens after a transfer expert delivered an exciting update on their chances of signing Jadon Sancho.

The Borussia Dortmund forward’s development since his £8m switch from Manchester City nearly three years ago has been nothing short of sensational.

The England international has stepped it up a gear this term, having scored 17 goals and assisted 19 others in 35 appearances and now reportedly tops Manchester United’s list of targets for the summer transfer window.

And while United tried, and failed, to sign him last summer, it looks increasingly likely that its a case of second time lucky for the Reds Devils after it was claimed Sancho had given the green light on a move to Old Trafford.

Furthermore, it was suggested the player will wear the No 7 shirt and will opt to move to United regardless of whether the club secure Champions League football or not.

And while nothing has been confirmed at this stage, an Instagram live chat that Sancho took part in on Sunday evening has now added serious fuel to the fire that a move to Old Trafford is on the cards when the window opens.

During his video, one fan wrote to the player saying: “Sip water if your (sp) joining united.”

After appearing to consider his reaction for a second, Sancho then took a big gulp of water from his water bottle.

And while Julien Lauren reckons the stunt was nothing more than a joke from Sancho aimed at generating himself more publicity, the European football expert does firmly believe a move to Old Trafford is on the cards when the window opens.

“He might be joining United and United will certainly do a lot of work,” Laurens told the Gab and Juls podcast

“I don’t think it’s done already, obviously, but I think it’s a very big possibility he will end up at Old Trafford in the summer, whenever the transfer window opens.”

Sancho, rated in the €130m (£116.2m) bracket by Dortmund, has also been mentioned as a target for Chelsea, but a report on Monday claimed he had little interest in hooking up with Frank Lampard’s side.

A move to United has also been given a ringing endorsement by former Watford striker Luther Blissett, who believes the Red Devils would be the ideal club for Sancho to return to the Premier League.

“There are clearly a lot of potential offers on the table,” Blissett told talkSPORT.

“If he’s going to be leaving the Bundesliga now the only country he can go to is back to the Premier League.

“The Premier League is what the Serie A was when back in the 1980s, you’ve got all the big-name stars there at the end of the day – it’s the place to be.

“He’s just got to choose the place that suits him and when he gets there he’ll be able to perform in the manner he does at Dortmund.

“United have showed interest so that’s got to be a big draw for him to go to a club of that stature.

“For me if all things are in the right place, and especially if they get into the Champions League, then it’s absolutely the right club to go too.”

Sancho’s Dortmund teammate, Erling Haaland, meanwhile, has emphatically responded to talk that he could leave the Bundesliga giants for United or Real Madrid this summer.
