Jude Bellingham TEAMtalk

Manchester United have fresh hope of signing Jude Bellingham after Borussia Dortmund encountered problems with his transfer fee, according to a report.

Bellingham, who turns 17 in July, has already attracted attention from across Europe with his performances for Birmingham.

The midfielder has scored seven goals this season, including two successive winners in September.

Reports previously credited United and Dortmund with interest, with one claiming the German side have struck an agreement with the player.

Therefore, SPORTbild journalist Christian Falk claimed that Bellingham is now closing in on a move to Germany.

However, the same reporter now claims that Dortmund have encountered a stumbling block in negotiations.

Falk says “there are problems” for the German side regarding Bellingham’s transfer fee, adding that United have fresh hope.

Although, the journalist maintains that the agreement between Bellingham and Dortmund remains in place.

Earlier this year, United invited Bellingham to the club’s Carrington training complex.

Sir Alex Ferguson showed the teenager around and he was reportedly “impressed” with what he saw.

Dortmund, however, have earned a reputation of attracting exciting talent to the Bundesliga.

Jadon Sancho joined from Manchester City in 2017 and is enjoying his best form this term, scoring 20 goals and assisting 20 more.

The England international is a top target for United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when the transfer window re-opens.

Meanwhile, Dortmund also lured Norwegian sensation Erling Haaland to the club in January.

The 19-year-old, who turns 20 in July, has netted 14 times in 15 games for Lucien Favre’s side.
