Manchester United have met with the parents of Lyon starlet Rayan Cherki to discuss a possible summer move, a report claims.
United boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer is reportedly ready to oversee a major overhaul of his squad at the end of the season.
The Red Devils missed out on Champions League football, and it is believed that the Norwegian wishes to replace an ageing group of under-performing players with young, hungry ones.
Now, French outlet FootMercato claim that United have opened talks with the parents of Cherki to gauge interest over a potential switch to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are described as huge admirers of the teenager, who started the season with Lyon’s U17s before being moved up to the reserve team.
Lyon have so far been unable to agree terms to sign Cherki on a professional contract, something which could open the for a move to United.
The attacking midfielder who will turn 16 in August, scored once in six UEFA Youth League appearances this season – and reports in the Spanish media have also linked him with Real Madrid.
