Manchester United booked their place in the last eight of the Europa League, but who impressed in their 1-0 win over Rostov at Old Trafford?

Sergio Romero – 7

Not hugely tested but did what was needed when he was.

Eric Bailly – 7

The best of what was, in truth, an under-worked Man Utd defence. Made some key blocks.

Chris Smalling – 6

Strolled through the game. barely noticeable which isn’t always a bad thing for a defender.

Marcos Rojo – 6

Similar to Smalling really. Steady yet not required to be anything better.

Antonio Valencia – 8

Probably the pick of Man Utd’s side on the night. Raided down the right with threat but too often lacked a final ball.

Ander Herrera – 6

Kept things ticking over, as he tends to do, but not especially influential.

Paul Pogba – 6

Injury ended his night early just seconds into the second half, but he wasn’t having his greatest night anyway.

Daley Blind – 5

Another whose night was ended by injury, but he was barely involved.

Juan Mata- 8

Bagged the crucial goal, starting and finishing the move himself. Good contribution overall.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – 7

Some lovely moments in the game but they were a bit few and far between. Involved in goal, though.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 7

Did he mean that assist? Doesn’t really matter. He Zlataned it anyway.

Marouane Fellaini (Substitute) – 6

Did quite well when he came on, especially when winning back possession for his side.

Phil Jones (Substitute) – 5

Slotted in well but wasn’t required to do much in truth.
