Manchester United have been dealt a blow as reports claim that Juventus are considering a swoop for one of their summer targets.
According to a report from Italian outlet Tuttosport, the Serie A champions are looking to bolster their defence after securing the big-money signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
Juve boss Max Allegri is apparently intent on adding some experience to his back line, with doubts over the futures of Mehdi Benatia and Daniele Rugani.
That search has led Allegri to Atleti star Diego Godin, who is out of contract next summer and is seemingly not close to penning fresh terms at the club.
The report from Tuttosport suggests that Juventus will offer the 32-year-old a long-term deal to try and lure him from the Spanish capital.
Reports last month suggested that the Bianconeri are willing to meet the €20million release clause in the defender’s contract.
