Man Utd should have signed £30m man, not announced ‘scary’ Sanchez return
The Manchester United forum is not a happy place as fans put United’s transfer business, or lack of it, under the microscope, all in Your Says of the Day.

Everything on the cheap

The end of the deadline is looming, Woodward as always is very slow to make the deal done, he always want everything on the cheap, so at the end of the day United end up with NOTHING!
We need a player like Bruno Fernandes, look at his scoring/assists record, its very impressive, def someone we need, his age is perfect. Our strikers will benefit from it to score more goals to make United strong again.
Lets give Sporting Lisbon the right money + Rojo or Perreira or even Matic, doesn’t matter, they are all deadwood anyway.

Looks like the Fernandes transfer is on again, will it be off again, then on again, then off again, with nothing likely to happen? Fernandes has apparently given two fingers to us because we’re mugging him around. It’s hard to know did Sporting come to the table with their tail between their legs or did we? It’s shambolic, it really is. Rumours today of Antero Henrique coming as DoF, not sure if he’s as good as Jorge Campos but he couldn’t possiblt be worse than the idiots we have at the moment.

JM/Moral – Probably a combination of both i’d say. Ed was always looking these “champagne” signings, Sanchez, Di Maria, Falcao etc. But LVG definitely picked the likes of Darmian, Blind, Depay, Schneiderlin which were all terrible buys and waaaaay below the level of a Manchester United player. I always think it’s hilarious when LVG makes the comment about Bayern being run by football people and Ed Woodward being an account. That’s true mate but neither is relevant to the absolute shite players you bought and the eye bleedingly boring football you produced!
I think in the summer Ed came out and said a lot of the transfers that were pushed through were inline with the previous manager’s philosophies and not necessarily inline with Man Utd’s traditions. So it seems that Ole and Ed (and whoever else) have realigned the transfer strategy. Which is probably why we won’t (panic) buy someone in January when we have our primary targets for the summer. We don’t need another Sanchez who was never part of the plan do we?

Everyone knows, although it’s not official, we only bought Sanchez to stop City getting him. He’s not a Man Utd player, never was. Unless he’s the absolute centre of attention with the team built around him, then he doesn’t perform. That’s not the kind of player who has ever excelled at Man Utd. Even Ronaldo, who’s the ultimate egotist, knew that he was a part of a bigger whole when he was here.

Sanchez return scary

No idea how anyone can be remotely happy with the idea the club has a strategy. This Fernandes debacle is embarrassing. And the sh*te today about Sanchez coming back even scarier.
Ole has been saying there’s a couple ongoing who he hopes the club can get over the line so it’s clearly fucking Ed and his crew that are making a complete bollix of it all. But it’s ok because we have long term targets ie young mediocire English players at £100M plus a piece.

The sooner we get a DoF in the door the better, I wonder are the Glazer’s starting to listen to the media talk about Woodward being a fucking moron when it comes to footballing matters. If Antero Henrique is being lined up then that’s a positive. Would rather Jorge Campos but I think he’s nailed his colours to the mast in France, for now at least. If nothing else Henrique has history of getting deals done, Mbappe and Neymar to PSG to name but a few.

Sanchez will return at the end of the season, he’s only on loan, there’s no transfer agreed for him and by the sounds of it he’s been poor for them so it’s unlikely they’ll want him. It’s also quite clear that Ole just isn’t going to alienate a player in public. He will always be positive about every player to the press. I fully expect Ole to say positive things about Sanchez and for Sanchez to be somewhere else next season.

Sanchez hasnt just been in poor form for Inter,he has hardly played. The man is done @ the top,a spent force and can hardly stand let alone play.Who in their right mind would pay him a whooping £570k p/w to do nothing? We going to have to pay him to leave. This club needs a massive clearout from top down.

United should have been in for Bergwijn

Steven Bergwijn to Spurs for under £30 million? We were linked with him last summer. More of an attacking threat than James and more importantly would give James time out of the starting XI to develop.
Also would mean Greenwood could concentrate on playing as no. 9 without playing off the wing also.
Oh well, shouldn’t be surprised I suppose 🙁 🙁
This Sanchez talk is a load of sh*te. If he was signed for a tenner and was on a couple grand a week then he’d be a good squad player to have. Apparently he is on 500k per week! How the fuck can that not upset the dressing room? We have players putting in twice the effort, contributing ten times as much as Sanchez, yet earning just a fraction of what he is paid. We have to put this one down as a bad investment, pay him off and move forward
Henrique coming in as DoF? I’ll believe it when it happens. And even IF it happens, still wouldn’t be surprised if Ed refused to step back from transfers and Henrique ended up leaving after 12 to 18 months

Berge is United’s level

The Berge thing was obviously boll***s but if you read the article by Jonathan Northcroft in the Sunday Times, Berge is just about the level of player we can now attract.
jm1502
Klopp is apparently a big fan of Berge, especially after his performances against Liverpool this season.
I also think he’s the kind of player we should take a punt on. At the very least he’d be more mobile than Matic…

Well who ever said Ole would say good things about him publicly got that right, lets hope for your sakes the part of him not being at your club next year is also true, so strange how he went, its like his talent fell of the side of a cliff when he left, is it age or injury or what, great in his day…

Ole is a ‘puppet’
Oh dear, this shows just again that Ole is a puppet on a string and as a legend signed to shut up fans. I dont know about you Happy but i welcome that fans are questioning Glazers and Woodward by walking out in the 58th minute next game at OT. Hope its true.

Man City clash
I think we’re done here. In the last game at the Etihad McTominay and Fred outworked and harrassed them all game in midfield. We won’t be able to do that so will likely go with a back 3 and try to shut them out with numbers in the middle of the park that way. Matic and Fred will sit deep and make the spaces smaller.
Rashford is our best outlet and he’s gone, let’s hope James can get back into his early season form, but I fear he’s been overplayed and needs an extended break.
Crucial not to concede in the first half and stay in the game. If we get the first goal it will be interesting, but I can’t see us going through.
