Man Utd star denied €80m Prem switch as European giants hover
Manchester United will not let Anthony Martial leave for another Premier League club, according to reports.
The French forward has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, with London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea on alert.
However, The Independent claims that Martial will only be allowed to move abroad this summer, meaning PSG are the leading candidates to sign him.
Any move to the French capital would depend on the futures of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, with whom Martial would be competing for places. Unless either player is sold – both have been linked with Real Madrid – PSG will be unwilling to spend big on Martial.
It is thought that Martial is valued at €80m, after scoring nine Premier League goals last season. His contract expires next summer, but United do have the option to extend it by a further year.
Martial recently left United’s US pre-season tour to attend the birth of his second child.
