Inter Milan remain interested in signing Romelu Lukaku after reportedly scouting the striker again this week.
The Sun claimed last weekend that United had placed a £75million price tag on the head of the striker amid interest from Inter and AC Milan and now CalcioMercato report that Inter remain keen on the forward.
Inter are looking at alternatives to Mauro Icardi, who has been linked with a move away from the Italian side, and Lukaku could fit the bill.
Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio visited England for some Champions League action this week.
Ausilio watched Tottenham’s 1-0 Champions League quarter-final first-leg win over Manchester City on Tuesday, before heading north to watch Manchester United lose 1-0 to Barcelona at Old Trafford.
Leggo claims Ausilio’s trip to Manchester on Wednesday night was to watch Lukaku in action against top-quality opposition. Barca midfielder Ivan Rakitic was also on his watch list.
The report claims Ausilio’s trip to Spurs’ new home was to keep track of Spurs pair Christian Eriksen and Serge Aurier, and City’s contract rebel midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
