Good time for Arsenal to play Liverpool?

wish we was playing this game in a few months time.in saying that it might not be a bad time to play pool as teams are getting good chances against them.they are a different animal at anfield but all i want to see is improvement and that we are getting better.i think we are at where pool was 2/3 years ago in the fact their defence and goalkeeper were not good enough and now it seems they have addressed those issues.

we got a good hiding there in recent years and we must look to compete better away from home.i don’t think we are anywhere near our so called best team yet and i honestly don’t think the starting 11 in the first two games will get anything at anfield.if we do lose, then it’s no shame in the fact they are a few years ahead of us but we do have the players to hurt them in forward areas.

the big problem i see if we are to play a good counter attacking game can we control the game without the ball?fergie’s team was great at that and counter attacked really well.i’m not expecting anything but a pool win at this stage of the season but a welcome improvement and not getting battered.still,if we can give them a game then who knows what might happen.it’s a funny old game as they say.

My Madly optimistic mate is convinced we will get a win. Although he did predict our long unbeaten run last year I think he is unfortunately wrong on this. I cant see how we would do it unless their front three have a shocker our front three have a blinder and Van Dyke is injured. I would take a draw now and if we come a away with a point it will be a great result. No one expects us to win so we have nothing to loose just don’t get hammered so we loose confidence! COYG

I think there will be goals I just hope our defence doesn’t let in too many! We will need a bit of luck but I think we might manage a draw and maybe even a close win.

I really hope Emery sticks with the three in midfield against Burnley. I am a Xhaka fan but I don’t think any of the three should be dropped as they worked so well against Burnley. Pepe has to start though, yeah?

Hudson-Odoi worth the wages?

I think we have to accept that this is the market that we are now operating in with certain players, Borussia Dortmund’s 19 year old England winger Jadon Sancho has agreed a new contract with the Bundesliga club worth about £190,000 a week, including bonuses over the last couple of days and age and stature wise the players are quite comparable.

Bayern probably upped the anti in the case of Hudson Odoi and they haven’t been backwards at coming forwards in their pursuit of him and if they didn’t cross the line with all their comments in the media they must have come very close to doing so all of which has made things difficult in getting him to commit to the Club.

I don’t like to see what we’re paying Hudson Odoi it’s approaching what we were paying Hazard and he was our star player and probably the best player in the PL whist Hudson Odoi is currently only a potentially star player but the alternative was to let a highly valuable player walk away on a free transfer or a limited fee which would have not only cost us his services but potentially a very large fee in order to replace him with someone of equal potential evidence of that is the near £60m that Pulisic cost us and there’s something special about Hudson Odoi brin one of our own.

His Agent who is his Brother seems to have done his job which was to strike the best deal possible for the player he represents and it’s difficult to criticise him for that albeit the toing and froing has been very frustrating for the fans.

I also think it might have a knock on effect with players like Mount too because v Hudson Odoi the contract he was offered and recently signed looks completely out of kilter now and it is likely to have an effect on our contract negotiations with Reece James too

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves he still hasn’t signed that b****y contract yet!!!!!! 😊 Cheers 9’s

nine nine nine

It’s more about the disparity between Hudson-Odoi 200k pw and whatever his captain is earning which is no doubt a fair way less. Also the effect it will have on all the others on less or much less wages. It is human nature to think ‘what about me’ and could cause friction within.

Palace approach could cause Man Utd problems

This could be a tough game for us. Palace are in deep sh*t this season and will set up very defensively. We’ll struggle to break them down. That said if we can get a breakthrough, I can see us getting a few. Optimistically I’ll go for 3-0 to us.

3-0 to United, I think Palace could be a relegation contender this season, they’ll definitely be there or there abouts. AWB is a huge loss for them so Zaha and the rest need to find some form ASAP, and Benteke needs to start scoring goals for them

Three English signings United should make

Maddison and Sancho would be brilliant signings next summer indeed.Should try and offer fat Luke and money for B.Chilwell in January.

Martial to thrive in new (old) role

Anthony Martial Manchester United

Martial hasn’t done the business consistently however I believe this is the first time since he first joined under LVG that he is being given a chance in a striker / free moving role – so far this year he’s done fine in scoring 2 in 2 and finally has a smile (along with his number 9) back and is not playing 2nd fiddle to the likes of Ibrahimovic, Sanchez and Lukaku so this truly is his make or break season.
