Manchester United will be hoping they have unearthed two future stars when they confirm the signings of defenders Marc Jurado and Alvaro Fernandez.
The PA news agency understands the Spanish teenagers will join the youth set-up at United once final clearance has been received.
Jurado, 16, and Fernandez, 17, are joining from Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.
The pair are understood to be isolating with a local family after moving from Spain. That’s in line with the government guidelines. All arrivals from the country are required to undergo a two-week quarantine period under current Covid-19 limitations.
The Norwegian last month became their youngest ever player when making his debut at the age of 15 years 319 days, with the club now awaiting paperwork to complete the deal.
Galatasaray ready Fred move
Turkish giants Galatasaray are chasing an unlikely move for Fred this summer, according to a report.
The Super Lig side are in the market for central midfielders. As such, Fotomac claims that the Brazilian is their main focus.
Galatasaray have also been linked with other midfielders from the Premier League. They include former loanees Jean Michael Seri and Mario Lemina. But the report adds that they haven’t been able to convince either Fulham or Southampton over new deals.
