Manchester United star keen to extend Old Trafford stay

Dutch defender Daley Blind wants to stay at Old Trafford despite Manchester United’s silence over a new deal.
The 27-year-old, who faces his former club Ajax in the Europa League final on Wednesday night, has just one more year remaining on his Old Trafford contract and can leave on a free next summer.
United have an option to extend his deal for a further year but Blind has revealed that he has heard nothing from the club as yet.
“I don’t really know anything yet about my future. I haven’t really thought about it either,” Blind said in a report in the Sunday Mirror.
“But which player wouldn’t want to stay at Manchester United?
“That’s the only thing I can say about it.”
Blind was a regular under former United boss Louis van Gaal but hasn’t managed to nail down a regular starting spot under Jose Mourinho this season.
That has reportedly led to Ajax considering a deal to bring the versatile defender back to Amsterdam.
