Manchester United have been encouraged to sign John Terry on a free transfer this summer by both Danny Mills and Charlie Adam.
The 36-year-old is set end his 22-year spell at Chelsea this summer when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Terry is rumoured to be keen on remaining in the Premier League next season and Bournemouth, West Brom and Crystal Palace are all reportedly interested in making a move.
The defender has experienced all football has to give and has lifted four Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, two Community Shields, one Europa League and one Champions League.
And both Adam and Mills agree that his presence around the training ground will be of benefit to Manchester United and his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
Speaking on BBC 5 Live, Stoke City midfielder Adam said: “If I was Mourinho, I would go and take him.
“I’d say to him, ‘listen, come and play for a year’. And why not? [He’s] a leader, a winner.”
And Mills, a former England international, added: “Even to have him on the training pitch, around the place, that experience [would be good for United].
“I think JT’s doing his coaching badges as well at the moment. I’m sure he’d want to learn again from that side of it.”
