Marcus Rashford has picked his favourite Bundesliga player and picked two former Manchester United players he would have loved to have played alongside.

After pulling out of England’s international camp due to injury the 23-year-old found himself with time on his hands on Monday night and so invited fans to an open Q and A session on Twitter. The United forward was posed a wide range of questions with Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho featuring on a number of occasions.

Rashford was careful not to fuel any Sancho to United transfer headlines. When asked if he would like to play with Sancho, he replied: “I do with England.”

It’s clear that Rashford and Sancho have a close bond because he also admitted Sancho was his favourite player in the Bundesliga.

Asked who he wished he could have played with, Rashford pointed at Eric Cantona. The United man said that Ryan Giggs had spoken so highly of the Frenchman that he would have loved to have shared the pitch with him.

He was also asked a similar question about any player past or present he would have liked to have played with. This time he named Paul Scholes. He said: Would love to play in front of Scholesy.”

He was also asked who the best midfielder was of all time. Rashford responded: “Paul Scholes or Iniesta.” And any rival player he would like to play with was also posed to him: “De Bruyne,” he replied.

After news broke that Sergio Aguero would be leaving Manchester City this summer, Rashford was asked where the Argentine was ranked among the Premier League greats.

Rashford said: “Very close to the top. Just look at his record.”
