Pogba’s brother names Man Utd star’s next club as big transfer tipped

Paul Pogba TEAMtalk

Paul Pogba’s brother Mathias wants the Manchester United star to leave Old Trafford and sign for Spanish giants Barcelona.

United‘s midfielder has enjoyed arguably his best season for the Red Devils since rejoining in 2016. The Frenchman has come up with several vital contributions but, perhaps more crucially, has shown more consistency. As a result, he has played 26 Premier League games, notching four assists in the last seven outings.

However, the big question over his future is looming. Pogba’s Old Trafford contract runs out next summer, but he has yet to come to a decision over his plans.

United would likely want his situation resolved before the start of next season. If not, the chance of a player of such quality leaving on a free transfer would grow larger.

While he could yet sign a new deal at United, though, his brother wants him to move to Barcelona.

Speaking to Spanish chat show El Chiringuito, Mathias Pogba said: “Once he wins the Europa League, then we will talk.”

Mathias, who is two years older than his brother and plays for Slovenian side NK Tabor Sezana, added: “I don’t know anything but I’m with you, I would sign tomorrow if that was the question.

“Hopefully he will sign for Barca.”

Paul Pogba: Jose Mourinho went against players, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wouldn't

Paul Pogba: Jose Mourinho went against players, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wouldn't

In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Paul Pogba delivered a scathing verdict on Jose Mourinho's man-management and his reaction to Man Utd’s victory at Tottenham.

Pogba has played a vital role in helping United reach next Wednesday’s Europa League final against Villarreal.

After coming on from the bench, he scored the winning goal against AC Milan in the last 16.

However, pundit Michael Owen has admitted that he poses a unique problem for boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Pogba explains love for Prem rival

Meanwhile, Pogba has opened up on his relationship with Chelsea star and fellow France international N’Golo Kante.

After a drop-off in recent seasons due to injury, Kante has been back to his best this season.

Similarly, Pogba has enjoyed a resurgence and has explained his admiration for his fellow countryman.
