Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri will go after Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri in January, according to a report in Italy.
Corriere Dello Sport report that Sarri is looking for competition for Alex Sandro and wants to be reunited with the Chelsea man in January.
Chelsea are willing to do business, claims the report, but will want £30million for the 25-year-old they signed from Roma in January 2018 for a reported £17.6million, plus £7million in add-ons.
Juve though want the player on an initial loan first and that could well be one of the major sticking points of any proposed deal.
Chelsea are expected to find out this week whether their transfer ban ahead of the January window will be lifted. The green light will almost certainly signal some movement in and out of Stamford Bridge.
In October the Express claimed Sarri would try to take Emerson back to Italy in January.
He was also linked with a move to follow Sarri to Turin in the summer but Brazil-born Emerson told ESPN Brasil in the summer: “Me at Juve with Sarri? I am happy here, I have not received any calls and I am focused on Chelsea.”
Emerson has established himself as first-choice left-back ahead of Marcos Alonso following on from his positive form towards the end of Sarri’s sole season in charge.
