Messages reveal no bad blood between Ramos and Iniesta

Sergio Ramos and Andres Iniesta have both shown the respect they have for each other with heart-warming messages since Sunday’s El Clasico.

The 2-2 draw at Camp Nou was a fiesty affair with Ramos heavily involved in a match which saw one red card and eight yellow cards.

Real refused to give Barca a guard of honour after the Catalan side sewed up the La Liga title last weekend. Instead the staff from the Nou Camp applauded the players off of the pitch after the 2-2 draw, as arranged by Gerard Pique.

The bad blood did not stop there though as Ramos afterwards explained why he had failed to put the ball out of play with Luis Suarez apparently down injured and then he suggested Lionel Messi had tried to influence the referee at half-time.

There was no such animosity between Ramos and his Spain team-mate Iniesta though.

Iniesta, playing in the game for the very last time, gifted his shirt to Sergio Ramos.

The Barcelona legend signed the shirt and it read: “To my friend Sergio, for the many moments together and the others as rivals, thanks and good luck.”

Ramos then posted a picture of himself with the shirt on Twitter, writing: “Beyond what happened on the pitch, last night’s will be remembered as Iniesta’s Clasico.

“You will be missed, my friend.”
